TIC AMERICAS 2009 (HONDURAS)
The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), a non-profit
corporation working in cooperation with the General Secretariat
of the Organization of American States, is pleased to announce
that the team MACRORUEDA ONLINE of Colombia is one of the twenty
five (25) Finalist Teams of the Talent and Innovation Competition
of the Americas (TIC Americas).
The twenty five teams were selected after a process that began
with more than 600 Teams. Finalist teams will be eligible to
compete in the TIC Americas Finals on-site in San Pedro Sula,
Honduras,May 29–30, 2009 and present their business in the TIC
Americas Expo. TIC Americas give young participants opportunities
to showcase their talent and abilities as upcoming business
leaders.
MRO is a team of young professionals whose dedication and determination
made them get into the Finals demonstrating the great business
talent of Colombian youth. They will be representing their country,
Colombia, in an international competition that will be held
within the framework of the XXXIX OAS General Assembly. Winners
of TIC Americas will next be nominated to participate in the
Global Talentrepreneur Award and Forum (Global TIC) in Asia
in August 2009, bringing together TIC Asia and TIC Americas.

MRO is finalist of the BID CHALLENGE
COLOMBIA 2008 in the INNOVATION Categorie (COLOMBIA)
The nationwide entrepreneurs BID Challenge 2008 is an initiative
of the national government, led by the Ministry of Industry
and Commerce in partnership with JCI Colombia and administration
faculty of the University of the Andes, supported by BID Network.
The process of selecting the best business plans start with
an assessment of nearly 400 entrepreneurs from all corners of
Colombia that were part of this version of the competition.
Quality and Solid of the MRO Business Plan allowed his election
as a finalist along with nine other proposals in the category
of innovation, which was recognized as a high level of innovation,
social impact and commercial development.
