Late in the evening after SB5 protesters held the biggest rally at the Statehouse in 15 years, word has just come out that SB5 may come up for a vote this Wednesday, March 2nd.
We can only guess whether this was timed to coincide with the Tea Party rally scheduled for the Statehouse that day. What we do know is that we can’t allow radicals to dominate the scene inside the Senate chamber during this, the biggest assault in decades on Ohio’s middle class.
If you are available tomorrow, please consider trying to attend these important hearings and possible votes. Here are instructions for how to try to get your free admittance voucher:
| “Seating for the Ohio Senate Insurance, Commerce and Labor Committee scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, at 10 a.m. is limited to 72 persons. Vouchers for those interested in attending will be given to attendees on a first come, first served basis. The line for seating will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the North Plaza located on the Broad Street side of the Ohio Statehouse, and ticket distribution will begin at 9 a.m. No attendance will be granted to the committee meeting without a voucher.
Should the bill get to the Senate floor for consideration on Wednesday, limited vouchers are available for seats both inside and immediately outside of the Senate chamber. Vouchers for those interested in attending will be given to attendees on a first come, first served basis. The line for seating will begin at 11 a.m. on the North Plaza located on the Broad Street side of the Ohio Statehouse, and ticket distribution will begin at 12:30 p.m. Session is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. No attendance will be granted to the session without a voucher.” |
