Without a doubt, the global pandemic of COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the economy and, consequently, on the population.

The peasants gathered on the Delhi border understand all these issues much more clearly than either Modi or the intelligentsia advocating a shift away from food grains. Ironically, it is the latter group who are suggesting that the peasants are ignoramuses!

The media likes to frame the limits of political struggle as between the Democratic and Republican parties, as if each side upholds a radically different political vision.
